Scott Payne - Dental Prosthetist 

Scott completed his apprenticeship as a Dental Technician in 1985 and over the past 38+ years has worked for some of the top laboratories in Brisbane and Sunshine Coast, as well as 18 months in a laboratory in Manchester, England.

In 2012 he furthered his education, undertaking the Advanced Diploma of Dental Prosthetics course here in Brisbane. This has allowed him to take his decades of experience directly to patients. All the work on your new denture will be completed in-house, by Scott.

“Being hands on with every aspect of constructing a denture for my patients, both in the clinic and in the laboratory, allows me to create a denture for my patient, that we are both very happy with. It’s such a rewarding experience.”

Scott has a passion for achieving a high-level standard of work using the latest equipment and materials available. He continues to develop his knowledge on any updated advancements in modern technology, techniques, and materials, which helps him to provide quality care for his clients and patients.  Since 2013 he has also been working one day a week at Tewantin Dental Centre on the Sunshine Coast, treating their denture patients.

Away from dentistry he enjoys playing golf, training at the gym, watching very loud movies, and spending time with his pets.

Melissa James – Clinic Manager 

Mel is the face and voice that you will first see and hear at the clinic and takes great pride in managing the clinic and laboratory services alongside Scott. 

She is known for her friendly and helpful nature, and with over 30 years’ experience in customer service, strives to ensure every patient has a comfortable and pleasant visit. 

Mel understands the importance of patient wellbeing and assists Scott with providing any information that may be useful for their patient’s peace of mind.

In her leisure time she enjoys making fun memories with her daughters and grandchildren, attending musicals and concerts, listening to podcasts, and gardening her succulents.

She also enjoys lazy lounge time with her cats Harper, and Lacey.
